This is Our Life!!

9 years ago, I married my college sweetheart!! His name: Jason! I knew he was unique and that he was placed in my path just for me. Fast forward to now, we have SIX kids and I can't envision life w/o my "JB". Our kids ages you wonder... well there's Naomi 8 1/2yrs, Joseph 7, Noah 5 1/2, Gabrielle 4 1/2, Isabella 2, Caleb 6 1/2 months old. Each of them unique on their own, smart, funny, sweet, rambunctious, and have Newyorican spice! We are a mixed family; I'm Puertorican born and raised in The Bronx, and "Daddy", African American born and raised in Cincinnati. I get asked all the time, "how do you do it w/ 6 kids??" or someone will say, "Six kids?! You're brave!" (that along w/ the blank stare of "you're outta your mind" & "are you crazy?") We didn't intentionally plan on six kids, but we were certainly blessed w/ each of them. Life without em' just wouldn't be life at all. We are so grateful for the journey we've been on, how much we've learned as parents, how much love grows in our hearts each time we've welcomed a new "McMullen". So this blog may answer some of those "burning" questions and is part of our new journey we are about to embark: HOMESCHOOLING!! Some may think I'm crazy, but I'm just excited!! A little nervous, but certainly excited!! It's been a long ongoing conversation since I was pregnant with Naomi, and NOW is the time. So we invite you to join us as we watch myself (the teacher), and our kids, "team McMullen" grow up, learn and have fun together. I'm sure there will be surprises along the way, and some tears to go with it too... But like every other mom out there, we may cry now, and laugh later... So keep up w/ us, and not the "Jones'" and you too may feel that: Life w/o "Team McMullen" just wouldn't be life at all!
